Rocky McKay didn't wait long to start doing things his way. He changed his name at age 6, and not much has changed since.
A natural performer with an early passion for art and music, Rocky has never been comfortable with the status quo. That restless energy led him to study film, music, psychology, and anthropology, ultimately earning a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. He graduated Cum Laude (be cool) from Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.
In law school, Rocky found his two callings: criminal defense and art law. He served on the executive board of the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and as president of Law Students for the Arts. After graduating, he honed his litigation and intellectual property skills at Lewis Roca before founding his own firm, bringing those same skills to the people.
Rocky's life outside the law looks a lot like his life inside it. He still makes music and art, stays politically active, and is a dues-paying member of the Democratic Socialists of America. He believes art is resistance, and it's always been at the front lines.
